Getting Started

Call us at 714-386-9171, email info@noroozclinic.com, or request an appointment through our website.

You’ll be contacted by a therapist within 1–2 business days for a free 15-minute consultation to schedule your intake.

We’ll ask about your availability, in-person vs. telehealth preference, and any provider preferences (such as gender, ethnicity, or specialty). We also consider the issues you want to address to connect you with the best-fit therapist.

We do our best to match you initially, but you can always request a change if it doesn’t feel like the right fit.

Our pre-licensed trainees provide services at lower cost. All are supervised by licensed clinicians to ensure high quality and ethical care.

What to Expect in Therapy

Therapy is a safe, supportive space where you’ll work with a therapist to explore challenges, set goals, and build coping strategies. The process is tailored to your needs and moves at your pace.

Your first session (intake) is about getting to know you. The therapist will ask about your history, goals, and current concerns, and together you’ll create a treatment plan.

Most therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Couples and Family therapy sessions may last up to 80 minutes.

Both! You can meet your therapist in our Santa Ana office or through secure telehealth.

Testing and Assessments

It varies. Some evaluations may take a few hours, while comprehensive assessments can span multiple sessions over several weeks. Your clinician will explain the timeline during intake.

Coverage depends on your insurance plan and the reason for the evaluation. Insurance usually only covers testing that is considered medically necessary for example, to clarify a diagnosis like ADHD, a learning disorder, or another mental health condition. Testing for personal growth, career planning, or comprehensive evaluations beyond what’s deemed medically necessary is not typically covered.

Insurance and Payments

Yes. We’re contracted with Cigna, Aetna, Optum/UnitedHealthcare, Blue Shield of California, and Magellan.

No. We do not accept Medi-Cal or Medicare at this time.

If you have an out-of-network plan, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement.
We offer sliding-scale fees based on financial need, as well as limited scholarship programs, to make therapy more accessible.

Scheduling and Cancellations

Wait times vary depending on the service and clinician availability. We’ll let you know the estimated timeline when you inquire.

Contact your therapist directly by phone or text. Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid a cancellation fee.
Missed or late-canceled appointments (less than 24 hours’ notice) will be charged the full session fee.
