Grief Counseling

Grief can be strong and an overwhelming reaction to death, divorce, loss of a job, a move, or lack of health due to illness or disease (SAMHSA, 2017). It can also be present after a natural disaster or other traumatic events. Some of the signs & symptoms of grief can be feeling numb, empty and unable to feel joy or sadness. The physical symptoms of grief consist of trembling, muscle weakness, nausea, lack of sleep or difficulty breathing, and a dry mouth.

Counseling is a very healthy way to deal with the emotions linked to grief loss. Talking to a trained professional who can understand bereavement and grief can allow you to put your situation into perspective while learning how to cope with upsetting emotions or feelings.
