Youth Expression ProjeKt

A Judgment-Free Zone for Youth!

The Youth Expressions ProjeKt (YEP) was founded in 2013 by the Norooz Clinic Foundation’s Director of Program Development and Board Director, Nina Huynh, as a mentor/mentee program that brings together high school and college students to discuss difficult mental health issues. In following the essence of the original YEP program, it is now re-introduced as a program designed to target at-risk youth and teens in Orange County schools.

YEP is dedicated to promote mental health education and mental health strategies so that teens are more prepared once they enter adulthood. Mental health topics that YEP will cover with students include failure to launch, Covid-19 issues, self-esteem, bullying, family expectations, social anxiety, and more. Along with discussing and teaching them essential mental health tools and strategies, the YEP program also aims to prepare young students to face real world obstacles such as questions regarding college, financial literacy, and navigating differences in culture and outlook within the familial structure.

If you are a school and would like to add our program to your curriculum, please feel free to contact Nina Huynh at nhuynh@noroozclinic.com for more information.
